Heading to my first away game this Fall, and taking Dad to his first ever game.

Even with the Titans' playoff hopes flatlining, this guy makes it worthwhile for me to head to the sports bar each Sunday to catch the game. The NFL had Chris Johnson mic'd up for the Rams game, and it's fun to watch. Dude spends a lot of time working the ref (and Coach).

It's been great to watch football for the last four or five days, but for the love of all things holy I hope ESPN puts that Kenny Chesney song out to pasture soon. I'll say whatever you want, just make it stop!

At least Hank Williams, Jr., or what's-her-name only airs before one game a week.

UT announced its official Heisman Trophy campaign for SS Eric Berry. This kid is an awesome player. I remember telling someone to watch out for him after playing NCAA Football '08 on the Xbox before the 2007 season (ha!). Best of luck to him, but he'd probably have to average more than one INT per game and several TDs to win the Heisman. The last non-QB/RB to win was CB Charles Woodson in '97—who beat out Peyton!—and before him was an end in 1949. To date, Woodson is the only primarily defensive player to have won the Heisman.

Well, I just ordered 3 tickets for the UT vs. Kentucky game on Nov 29. Surely I can find a couple of willing football fans here to join me? Oh yeah, the tickets are on the "house". The seats are in a corner nosebleed section (PP), but that was the best available. I should have checked when seats first went on sale Monday.

Anyway, just throwing that out there...

Apparently he didn't have to do even that. This asshole football player Jerramy Stevens rapes, assaults, repeatedly drives recklessly (often while drunk) and, by my count, has spent a couple of weeks in jail, was suspended for a game and a half, and suffers a near-minimum $600k NFL salary.
