Remember: Helmets Save Lives

A driver, who happens to be a firefighter, was angry that a bicycle rider was on the busy Tunnel Road in Asheville with his child on the bike. The driver's chosen resolution to this perceived problem? Shoot the cyclist in the head. Luckily the bullet only penetrated the rider's helmet, not his skull, and the charge is merely attempted murder. The firefighter has been placed on investigative leave with pay.
