My first day at work a few

My first day at work a few weeks ago I had to install a bunch of Microsoft shit on my company-issued Mac—which is the first 21st century Mac I've ever used and has turned me into a slight Mac fanboy, but I'll save that particular rant for later—and this box design is less than intuitive. I think the plastic was cracked on one of them where a coworker had previously gotten a little frustrated. Thankfully it was only Visio and the latest god forsaken version of Office—not Vista—which I had to install, but what a great way to start your Microsoft product experience.

Macs are sexy

I'm all Mac at home. I can't recommend enough that you install Quicksilver as soon as possible. It will turn into your best friend. And when you install it, go through and install the plugins that are relevant to your life.

Now I own a Vista box. It is a flat out silly design. I love that by comparison Leopard comes shipped in a simple DVD sleeve.

Quicksilver

I installed Quicksilver a few days ago, so I haven't really learned how to use it yet as much more than a glorified Spotlight for launching various apps I don't want sitting in the Dock all the time, but it seems pretty kick ass so far.

The feature I use the most

is the Shelf & Clipboard. I have a running list of the past 200 items I've copied. The email and iTunes options I use a lot, but it's nuts what all it's possible to do. I have quick keys that launch "text editor" and "firefox" within seconds.
You should really check out perian as well. It creates the ability for Quicktime to play even more file types than VLC.
