My time in Lublin, Poland is almost up, but before I head to Kiev, I thought I'd sent pictures of some things from daily life.

Mushroom and Cream flavored potato chips

This, my landlord assures me, is a Polish tradition. It's called "Jellyfish and Eyeglasses". The jellyfish are represented by jelly mold with meat and vegetebles inside, and the eyeglasses are two shots of vodka. On the night after Obama's victory, we celebrated with champagne, jellyfish, and eyeglasses. The jellyfish taste exacly like you would imagine.

This is called a prodzisz, and it's a Communist-era breadmaker. The lid is the heating element. I managed to bake a loaf of bread in it, and despite the frayed cable, I did not burn down the house.
